Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat's car crashes into divider, resulting in minor injuries

On Tuesday, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat's car collided with a divider while he was traveling from Haldwani to Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar. Following the collision, Rawat experienced mild tremors and subsequently sought medical attention.

Medical checkup clears Rawat

Rawat underwent a medical examination, where doctors confirmed that he was in good health. In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Rawat assured the public of his well-being. He wrote in Hindi, "The doctors said everything was fine and discharged me... Some friends have posted about the incident on social media, which may raise concerns among a few. There is nothing to be worried about. I am absolutely fine, and so are my colleagues."

Injuries to personal security officer and associates

Reports suggested that there were injuries sustained in the accident. Rawat's personal security officer and other associates who were traveling with him also suffered injuries.

According to Amar Ujala, as cited by News18, the accident occurred at 12:15 am. Rawat reportedly sustained significant injuries, while his driver and gunner narrowly escaped fatal harm. Rawat was taken to a hospital after complaining of chest pain.
